Greg (Gregory) Blatt

As a Board Member and/or Founder, Gregory works across several companies and projects in the area of clean technology and renewable energy. Gregory was Managing Director for Marketing, Communications and External Relations at Solar Impulse (the first electric airplane to have flown around the world without any combustion fuel), having spent a decade working directly with both the Chairman and the CEO, with responsibilities in marketing and communications, fundraising, mission planning and coordinating relations with partners, governments, and other stakeholders. The Solar Impulse pioneering project led to the creation of the Solar Impulse Foundation, an organization promoting the adoption of energy efficient and carbon reduction technologies where he serves as a director. In this capacity, Gregory was the initiator and the lead in the creation of two Solar Impulse Investment Funds, one together with Rothschild & Co, and the other one with BNP Paribas.

Gregory is also the co-founder of H55, the technological spin off, of Solar Impulse, developing electric propulsion and battery management solutions for clean aviation. 

Gregory began his career at the World Economic Forum where he rose to the position of Director and Member of the Executive Board. From there he moved into media and technology, occupying senior management positions where he managed business expansion activities which included entering new markets, developing new products, managing group-wide marketing, and making acquisitions in technology, content and e-commerce companies. Educated in Canada, the USA, and Switzerland, Gregory holds postgraduate degrees in economics, diplomacy and negotiations.
